Situated in Murree, the Umair Abbasi Residence is designed using a modernistic and minimal style that enhances the user experience during their stay. Local materials have been used for ease in construction, sustainability and establishing harmony with regional structures. Sloped roofing has been added to the form in order to adhere to the natural weather of the area, as it is quite prone to rain and snow. The color palette for the exterior has been chosen carefully, utilising modern colors such as white, dark grey and brown with gold accents. This further enhances their design style as well as exuding elegance. Various extrusions have been to the exterior form through the use of different materials to allow for visually dynamic elevations. Recessed lightings along with wall-mounted spotlights have been placed onto the facade so as to enhance the ambience during the night time. The entrance is grand, featuring a double heighted porch, thus immediately grabbing visitors attention and guiding them inside. The interior has been kept spacious while also being space-efficient, allowing for no wastage. The design highly focuses on enhancing the natural views and sunlight that Murree has to offer, thus the use of various double heighted windows throughout the exterior. A sunroom is present on the roof, a perfect way of inviting the outdoors inside while also maximising comfort for the occupants.
